Havana, Oct 24 (ACN) Cuba’s Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz ratified on Tuesday his country’s commitment to the goals and principles of the UN Charter.
On United Nations Day, October 24, the Cuban Premier stressed the willingness of Cuba to meet the UN principles in order to contribute to world peace and security and to achieve equitable development of all nations.
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez affirmed Cuba’s honoring of international law and the defense of multilateralism. “The world needs a democratic, fair and equitable international order which guarantees peace, justice and development for all nations,” the Cuban Premier noted.
Every October 24, the world marks United Nations Day recalling the day that the UN Charter went into effect.
The Charter stipulates the principles of international relations, from the sovereign equality of the states to the prohibition of using force in international relations.
