Havana, Sept 21 (ACN) Miguel Diaz-Canel, First Secretary of Cuba’s Communist Party Central Committee and Cuban President met on Thursday in New York with leaders of diverse religious denominations.
Diaz-Canel stressed the support by those religious groups to Cuba’s demand for the end of the US economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on the island for over 60 years.
The meeting took place during the 78th Session of the UN General Assembly in the US city of New York.
The Cuban President is heading the high-level delegation to the Session, on behalf of the Group of 77-plus China.
