HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 13 (ACN) Nicolas Maduro, President of Venezuela, recalled Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz on the 97th anniversary of his birth and described him as a tireless rebel, a fighter for justice, and a master of the impossible.
The Venezuelan leader wrote on Twitter that the eternal leader of the Cuban Revolution gives us strength to continue the fight for the dignity of the peoples.
On his end, Venezuelan foreign minister Yvan Gil referred to Fidel as a soldier of ideas who, even after his death on November 25, 2016, is a beacon for all revolutionaries engaged in the struggle against the imperial powers that keep attacking Latin America.
Also on Twitter, the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) posted messages from several members of its board, stressing that the leader of the Cuban Revolution is an example of resistance, struggle and victory over imperialism.
