HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 17 (ACN) Esteban Lazo Hernandez, president of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba (Parliament), held official talks today with Sergey Aléinik, foreign minister from Belarus, at the National Capitol in Havana.
On Twitter, the Parliament shared images of the meeting between the two authorities, one of the activities of the current working visit of the foreign minister of that European country to Cuba.
The National Assembly recalled in another tweet that in December 2022, on the occasion of a visit he made at the head of a parliamentary delegation, Lazo exchanged in Minsk with Aléinik, who at that time served as acting foreign minister of Belarus.
According to the foreign ministry's website, Aléinik arrived in the island Monday, his first visit to the Caribbean country since his appointment to the post.
As part of the program, the Belarusian fdiplomat is expected to hold official talks with Josefina Vidal Ferreiro, Cuban deputy foreign minister; Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, deputy prime minister and minister of foreign trade and foreign investment, and other Cuban authorities.
