Havana, May 16 (ACN) The Council of Washinton D.C. https://dccouncil.gov/ unanimously adopted a resolution calling for the end of the US economic, commercial and financial blockade of Cuba and for the withdrawal of the island nation from the US list of alleged countries sponsors of terrorism.
The announcement was made by Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez on his Twitter account on Tuesday; he noted that with this is the 80th resolution in the US demanding a change of the US policy towards Cuba.
The inclusion of a country in the US list implies sanctions like prohibition of economic assistance and financial restrictions.
Washington’s blacklisting of Cuba over the past few years has been used to justify the strengthening of the US hostile policy against the island.
