Cuban President Signs Book of Condolences for Death of Jiang Zemin



Havana, Dec 9 (ACN) Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, First Secretary of Cuba’s Communist Party Central Committee and Cuban President signed on Friday the book of condolences opened at the Chinese embassy in Havana for the passing in November of former Chinese president Jiang Zemin.

On its Twitter account https://bit.ly/3Fe9e5r the Presidency of Cuba reported about his visit of the head of state to the diplomatic mission and shared a video about his tribute-paying remarks on the outstanding Chinese leader and close friend of Cuba, who died November 30th at 96.

In the name of the Cuban people, (Communist) Party and Government, Diaz-Canel extended his deepest condolences for the passing of the former general secretary of the Communist Party of China and former Chinese President Jiang Zemin.

We deeply regret the physical disappearance of a dear friend of Cuba, prominent statesman, outstanding communist and defender of the Socialist cause in China and at world level, said the Cuban head of state.

We will never forget his exceptional political and humanistic conditions with respect and admiration, noted Diaz-Canel.

The President was accompanied by Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Politburo of Cuba’s Communist Party and Organizations secretary and by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez.
