Havana, Dec 8 (ACN) Cuba’s deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas and the general secretary of the Organization African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), Georges Rebelo Pinto Chikoti, exchanged views on current challenges facing that group of nations.
The meeting, which took place in the context of the 10th OEACP Summit, addressed factors leading to unfavorable scenarios like climate change, food and energy crises and the unfair terms imposed by international trade.
The OACPS and its member states maintain their stand against the US economic, commercial and financial blockade of Cuba, as corroborated during the meeting, according to the Cuban Foreign Ministry.
Deputy premier Cabrisas ratified his country’s commitment to the defense of the interest of South countries.
Reicardo Cabrias has been paying a visit to Angola where he met with Sato Kilman, deputy prime minister of Vanuatu, as well as with the foreign ministers of Sao Tome and Principe and the Solomon Islands on bilateral relations between Cuba and those nations.
