HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 6 (ACN) Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Cuban foreign minister, sent condolences to the people and government of Colombia for the fatalities caused by the landslide that occurred in the municipality of Pueblo Rico, Risaralda department.
The Cuban diplomat expressed on Twitter his solidarity with the families and relatives of the dead.
According to the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management ( UNGRD) of Colombia, the death toll reached 34 on Monday, after a public transport vehicle was buried in a landslide.
So far, rescue efforts in the area have been hindered by the weather conditions, since the rains have not stopped and more landslides have been registered.
