HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 5 (ACN) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla paid tribute this Sunday in Kingstown to Ambassador Mario García Incháustegui, who lost his life in an accident during the hijacking of the aircraft in which he was traveling.
The Foreign Minister, on an official visit to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, evoked on Twitter the Cuban diplomat and recalled the words of the National Hero, José Martí, who expressed that "...honoring those who fulfilled their duty is the most effective way (...) to stimulate others to fulfill it".
Incháustegui and his wife, Gladys Delgado died in a plane crash on December 4, 1977 while traveling to Malaysia, where the diplomat was concurrent ambassador.
Prensa Latina news agency stresses that according to official figures, more than 1,500 Cubans have been direct victims of State terrorism in various parts of the world, in acts mostly sponsored by the United States.
