HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 29 (ACN) Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Cuban foreign minister, reaffirmed Cuba's unwavering support for a just, comprehensive and lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
On the occasion of Tuesday's celebration of the International Day of Solidarity with the People of Palestine, the foreign minister said on Twitter that the Palestinian people must be guaranteed the right to exercise their right to a state within the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
From June 5-10, 1967, Israel occupied the Sinai Peninsula, the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, the Golan and East Jerusalem, in what was called the Six-Day War, producing a considerable change in the traditional borders.
Every November 29th, the UN commemorates the International Day of Solidarity with the People of Palestine, as a reminder that the Palestinian problem has not been resolved and that the Palestinians have not obtained the inalienable rights recognized by the UN General Assembly.
