Cuban ambassador regrets death of Argentinean Hebe de Bonafini

HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 21 (ACN) Cuba's ambassador to Argentina, Pedro Pablo Prada, regretted the death of the president of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo Association, Hebe de Bonafini, and highlighted her ties with the Caribbean nation, Prensa Latina news agency reported.

During the 17th National Meeting of the Argentine Movement of Solidarity with Cuba, the diplomat highlighted the example of "the great fighter, lucid and combative until her last words".

Likewise, he said that De Bonafini was a tireless defender of the Revolution on the Island and of the integration among the peoples of Latin America.

Until victory, always! The people of Cuba embrace the Mothers, said Prada.

Members of the Houses of Friendship with Cuba, Cubans living here and graduates of universities in the Caribbean nation attended the event, during which a tribute was paid to the person who is considered a world symbol of the defense of human rights, memory, truth and justice.

After the disappearance of two of her children during the last civil-military dictatorship (1976-1983), De Bonafini began a path of struggle together with other mothers and grandmothers to demand to know the whereabouts of 30 thousand people and denounce the impunity of the crimes of State terrorism.

In October of this year, De Bonafini spent three days in the Italian Hospital in the Argentine city of La Plata, where she underwent tests to readjust the treatment of her chronic illnesses.
