HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 18 (ACN) Heidrun Tempel, ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Cuba, described the Caribbean island as a dream tourism destination because although the affirmation is romantic, many of her compatriots travel here to enjoy the charms of the island, and know its people, its culture.
During the 38th Havana International Fair, this nation celebrated its National Day, and in remarks to the Cuban News Agency, she said that many entrepreneurs from her country are interested in doing business with the island, where some 60 German entities are represented in business or investments.
Since tourism is one of the sectors in which Germany's presence is strongly felt, the ambassador pointed out that six weekly flights, regularly very full, link both countries, and that is a good sign.
Tempel highlighted the meritorious role of the German Trade and Investment Promotion Office, created five years ago in Havana, where despite the impact of COVID-19, it managed to maintain communication and links between businessmen of both nations, and in all this the support of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce has also been important.
We are very happy today because in this International Fair we have a significant presence of German companies, because not only in tourism but in other different branches we are interested towards the Cuba, the German ambassador concluded.
