Cuban and Chinese Academies Address Thinking of Xi Jinping

Havana, Nov 17 (ACN) China’s National Academy of Governance and Cuba’s Higher Academy of State and Government Cadres opened a seminar on Thursday to study the thinking of Chinese President Xi Jinping about Socialism with Chinese characteristics.

The rector of the Cuban academy, Mercedes Delgado, said that the joint efforts of the two institutions will contribute to understand and spread the thinking of the Chinese leader.

Once again, we will deepen the historical links of friendship, brotherhood and cooperation between the two nations, said the rector.

During the on-line opening of the online seminar, Chinese ambassador to Cuba Ma Hui addressed participants from the Havana-based diplomatic mission to express his satisfaction for the conference, whose lectures were prepared for Cuban attendees by a group of Chinese professionals.

The Seminar, running till November 30, is being attended by 50 deputy ministers, directives of 33 state institutions like the People’s Supreme Court, the Council of State, the Mariel Special Development Zone, 16 ministries, scientific centers and companies operating in strategic sectors.

The inauguration counted on the participation of Rosario Penton, rector of the Cuban Nico Lopez higher Communist Party Academy and of Gong Weibin, vice-president of China’s National Academy of Governance.
