Cuban parliamentarians describe visit to Vietnam as profitable

HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 10 (ACN) The secretary of the National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament) of Cuba, Homero Acosta, described as very profitable the working visit of a delegation of that legislative body to Vietnam, where they met with the president and the secretary-general of the National Assembly, respectively, Vuong Dinh Hue and Bui Van.

Acosta conveyed the greetings from the National Assembly of People's Power president Esteban Lazo’s greetings to Mr. Dinh Hue, who praised Cuba's resounding victory in the voting at the United Nations General Assembly on a resolution against the U.S. blockade.

As to his meeting with his counterpart, Bui Van, the Cuban official remarked that they discussed the performance of both secretariats in particular and of the Parliament in general, as well as the development of the legislative and control activity, the role of the deputies and the permanent commissions, as well as ways of strengthening the ties between both legislative bodies.
