HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 7 (ACN) The 22nd Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) began today in the city of Buenos Aires (Argentina), with the participation of a Cuban delegation, led by Cuban FM Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla.
On Twitter, Anayansi Rodriguez Camejo, Cuban coordinator for CELAC and deputy minister of foreign affairs, stressed that this cooperation and integration body for Latin America and the Caribbean continues strengthening.
During the meeting, which will be held today at the San Martin Palace, Mexico will hand over the Pro Tempore Presidency of the Community to Argentina.
On Thursday, Rodriguez Parrilla held a fraternal meeting with his Argentine counterpart, Santiago Cafiero, where they discussed issues of interest on the bilateral and regional agenda.
They also signed agreements for trade exchange, cooperation and agri-food development.
The Cuban delegation to the Meeting is also composed of the general director of multilateral affairs and international law of the foreign ministry, Rodolfo Benitez Verson; the general director of Latin America and the Caribbean, Eugenio Martinez Enriquez, and other officials of this ministry.
