Havana, Nov 25 (ACN) The International Solidarity-with-Cuba Movement scheduled actions in dozens of countries around the world to pay homage to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro on November 25th, marking the 5th anniversary of his passing.
According to the Cuban Friendship Institute actions will take place in Portugal, Germany, Finland, Greece, The Philippines and other nations, particularly the screening of documentary films, book launches and online exchanges.
In Cuba the date will be commemorated by the activists with the US Pastors for Peace caravan, Italian friends who joined a clinical trial with the Cuban COVID-19 vaccines, the Portugal-Cuba Friendship Association and the Canadian Ernesto Che Guevara Solidarity Brigade.
Meanwhile, the Assembly against the US Blockade of Cuba, organized by the Latin American and Caribbean Solidarity Network (@CubaPlataforma) will launch virtual activities November 26.
Virtual actions to homage Fidel Castro and educative media activities about the ideas of the Cuban Revolution leader have been scheduled till the end of November in countries such as Nepal, Austria, Sri Lanka, Australia, Egypt, Lebanon, Zimbabwe and many others.
