Havana, Aug 3 (ACN) In an official statement on Tuesday, the Syrian Communist Party rejected Washington’s attempts to interfere with Cuba’s domestic affairs through a destabilization campaign.
The statement denounces the attempts by successive US administrations to conspire against other governments who reject US supremacy and defend their sovereignty and their people’s rights.
“This is nothing new and it requires more solidarity and cooperation among all national liberation forces to fortify unity in the face of these challenges,” the statement reads.
Syria issued statements through its Parliament, Foreign Ministry and Workers’ Federation strongly condemning the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba, as well as Washington’s attempts to destabilize the Caribbean nation.
The statement reads that imperialist powers try to apply against Cuba the same actions they used against Syria.
