Havana, June 29 (ACN) Cuba’s Communist Party sent a message of salutations to the Cambodian People’s Party on the occasion of its 70th anniversary on June 28th.
According to the website of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, the message conveyed the warmest congratulations and wished the Cambodian political party success in the battle for the wellbeing and future development of the Asian nation.
The Cambodian People’s Party has led that nation towards its future and has maintained peace; it has headed the national reconciliation process as well as the reconstruction and development of the country, the message explained.
Cuba and Cambodia highly value the defense of national sovereignty and independence, not only for the countless lives and sacrifices demanded by such goals, but also because they define “our right to free and self determination,” the message noted.
Over the past sixty years of friendly and supportive relations, the political organizations of the two nations have jointly worked in the consolidation of bilateral relations and are determined to keep deepening such links in the benefit of their peoples.
The Cuban Communist Party expressed the Cambodian organization its gratefulness for its support of Cuba against the US economic, commercial and financial blockade.
