Cuba and Mongolia express interest in increasing trade relations

HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 14 (ACN) Antonio Carricarte, president of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, and Battsetseg Shagdar, ambassador of Mongolia to Havana, expressed interest in expanding trade relations between the two governments.

As an example of the bonds between the Caribbean island and the Asian nation in several key sectors for the economy, last October Maria del Carmen Orellana, first deputy minister of the Cuban ministry of tourism ( MINTUR ), held a meeting at the headquarters of that body with the Mongolian diplomat, with the aim of discussing the opportunities of the two countries to expand cooperative relations in this sector.

In this sense, both nations will sign a MOU in the near future, through which the Asian nation will establish a cultural and tourist center in Cuba.

Cuba and Mongolia established diplomatic relations on December 7, 1960, maintained uninterruptedly for six decades based on respect and collaboration in different economic and social sectors such as education, health, agriculture, sports and culture.
