HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 5 (ACN) Cuban ambassador to Benin, Yenielys Regueiferos Linares, and officials of that nation exchanged Tuesday on the possibilities of bilateral collaboration in tourism.
Regueiferos met with the advisor of the Beninese presidency, Jose Pliya, and then with the general director of the Agency for the Promotion of Heritage and the Development of Tourism, Edmond Toli, Cubaminrex reported.
Memorial and heritage tourism is an area of common interest to promote the culture and identity of both nations and the two officials agreed that geography, climate and other similar characteristics facilitate joint work in this sector.
Cuba and Benin have maintained diplomatic relations since 1974, with good friendship and cooperation ties.
