HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 19 (ACN) Cuba and Morocco ratified today their interest in strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of culture and sports, the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted on its website, Cubaminrex.
According to the report, Othman El Ferdaous, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports of Morocco, and Javier Domokos, ambassador of Cuba in that country, talked about the existing potential for the exchange of the two nations in those fields.
The Cubaminrex note states that both countries enjoy international recognition for the quality of their artistic production, as well as for their achievements in terms of cultural promotion and development.
The text adds that in the same way, the two countries are recognized as sports powers at regional and international level.
In the recent past, several Cuban bands and artists have participated in festivals and events that are celebrated in the rich Moroccan cultural calendar, as well as the boxing and wrestling teams of the Maghreb nation have made training bases in the Caribbean island, adds Cubaminrex.
It also expresses that with the recent opening of embassies in their respective capitals, new spaces are opened for institutional cooperation and better conditions are created for exchange in the various manifestations of art and sports.
