HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 30 (ACN) Nicaraguan foreign minister Denis Moncada condemned on Monday before the 75th UN General Assembly the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba almost six decades ago.
The Nicaraguan minister denounced and condemned "the repetition of attacks in an uninterrupted and cruel war against our people, and in particular against Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua, in a pattern, a model and a design of interests of others, outlined in the meddling and interventionist policies of the empires, violating the human rights of the nations.
He also pointed out that the illegal unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States against people must cease immediately, in order to guarantee stability, peace and the development of families.
In times of pandemic, these measures become a crime against humanity, stressed Moncada during the final session of the high-level debate of the United Nations General Assembly.
