HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 18 (ACN) Specialists, researchers and directors from Cuban and Uzbekistan health systems discussed, through a videoconference carried out between Havana-Baku-Taskent, about Cuban medicines used in protocols against SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
With the presence of Abdulla Azizov, Uzbekistan's deputy health minister, experts in medicine and drugs from both nations evaluated Biomodulin T, a biological immunomodulator of natural origin elaborated by the Cuban company Biocen for the treatment of respiratory diseases in elderly people by COVID-19, Cubaminrex reported.
They also analyzed other medicines such as the recombinant Alpha 2B interferon (Heberon), CIGB-258 peptide (Jusvinza) and the Alpha 2B plus gamma (Heberferon), also elaborated by the business group BioCubaFarma.
The videoconference, with over three hours of duration, counted on the experience of Dr. Dalsy Torres Avila, who leads a Cuban medical brigade in Azerbaijan, attending patients with COVID-19.
The experts from Uzbekistan considered the Cuban presentation very useful and showed interest in deepening the collaboration between both nations in health and medicine field.
