A new group of the Cuban delegation heading to Asuncion 2025

HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 8 (ACN) A new group of more than 70 athletes and federative representing women's handball, men's and women's judo, badminton, swimming, cycling, and rhythmic gymnastics departed for the venue of the 2nd Junior Pan American Games in Asuncion 2025, with the goal of honoring Cuba.

Handball team captain Ana Carla Sardiñas and athlete Yunay De la Caridad Frometa spoke at Jose Marti International Airport about their excellent preparations with the support and dedication of their coaches.
Despite some difficulties, they are heading to Paraguay in pursuit of a medal.

The president of the Cuban Handball Federation, Franklin Guevara, emphasized that the hard work, sacrifice, and fighting spirit of both teams qualified for these Junior Pan American Games is very high.

For his part, Andres Taño Gonzalez, national judo commissioner, told the press that his sport is attending this edition of the continental multi-sport event in better condition than last time.They participated with six athletes that year and nine this time, which gives them a better result.

We expect the best results, although we will be facing a Brazil in very good condition, which will be Cuba's main rival, but that the island's athletes are going for more, he added.
