HAVANA, Cuba, July 29 (ACN) Cuban swimmers Vladimir Hernández and Andrea Becali had awful results on the third day of 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore, scoring times by no means near their personal bests in the 800m and 200m freestyle events, respectively.
Hernández finished last in his heat and 26th on the overall list with a time of 8:41.26 min―quite far from the 8:36.81 min he achieved in April at the Dominican Republic Open. He had also competed in the 400m event held in the opener, in which he clocked 4:11.70 min to end in 42nd place, also distant from his result in the Dominican Republic (4:09.47 min).
On her end, Becali was 39th with a time of 2:07.65 min in the 200m event, far from her record of 2:00.70 min and other similar times.
She will be back in the fray on Thursday to close her participation with the 100m freestyle event.
