HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 10 (ACN) Cuba’s Las Tunas Leñadores will take to the field today at the Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium with only one goal in mind: to secure a place in the semifinals of the II Baseball Champions League Americas 2025.
The Cuban team will play against the Kane County Cougars, a U.S. team from the American Association, which also made its debut with a victory over Curaçao’s Santa Maria Pirates.
Yesterday, the Leñadores boasted their power by crushing the Curaçaoan 31-7, combining 32 hits―15 of them extra-base hits, including five home runs―in a game where all the starters had a multi-hit game.
