Cuba to debut in Pan American Wrestling Championships

HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 9 (ACN) Cuba’s wrestling teams will compete in the U23 Pan American Championships 2025, organized in Queretaro, Mexico.

According to national wrestling commissioner Martin Torres, the island aims to equal or excel its results in the 2021 Pan American Games held in Cali, Colombia, where it finished first with nine gold, three silver, and three bronze medals.

The qualifying event for the 2025 Junior Pan American Games in Asunción, Paraguay, gathers 17 Cuban athletes―six male and six female free-style wrestlers and five Greco-Roman wrestlers―who had been training in Mexico City since March 28ublication JIT.

Queretaro will set the course for the 2025 Pan Am Games, scheduled to be held on August 9-23.
