Havana, Jan 27 (ACN) The Cuban Baseball Federation announced on Monday that the island’s team will not participate at the Antillean Union Baseball Cuba slated for February in Puerto Rico due current visa application requirements.
In a communique addressed to event’s organizers, the Federation said that it was impossible for them to adjust to the time they had available after the official ratification of the event's call to begin the visa application in advance.
The Cuban Federation regretted the absence of its team at the Cup, which will take place February 21-23 in Aguadilla city, Puerto Rico.
The Cuban baseball executives reiterated their thankfulness to the event’s organizers for their interest in having the Cuba team at the Cup and whished them success in this and future competitions.
