HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 14 (ACN) Cuba intends to qualify four young triathletes to the 2025 Junior Pan Am Games through their participation in the 9th Havana Triathlon, a regional qualifier scheduled to be held on February 16 with athletes under 22 years of age.
Cuba has registered four male and six female triathletes who will strive to get the ticket in the race format “Sprint” (swim: 750 m; bicycle: 20 km; run: 5 km).
Each federation will be able to send up to two athletes of each sex of up to 21 years of age until December 31, 2025.
The Havana Triathlon will grant 24 places―12 to men and 12 to women―for the competition in Paraguay, which will give points for the ranking with a view to the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
