Cuban Baseball5 team ready for the World Cup

HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 25 (ACN) Current-champion Cuba announced its roster for the 2024 Baseball5 World Cup, to be held in Hong Kong on October 7 to 12.

Cuba will compete with eight athletes—four of each gender—namely team captain Brandy Molina, MVP of the last world championship, and Orlando Amador, Cristian Basabe, Shakira Aspiazú, Lietis Arcia, Yoel Blanco, Haila Gonzalez and Yiliena Otamendez.

Team Cuba will be in Pool A along with Lithuania, South Africa, Venezuela, Lithuania and Hong Kong, whereas Pool B features Australia, China, France, Japan, Mexico and Tunisia.

The top three teams of each pool will secure a spot in the super round (October 10 and 11), in which the top two finishers will get the ticket to play the final game for the World Championship.
