HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 11 (ACN) Cuba will be opposite Sri Lanka and Sudan today in the open and women’s sections, respectively, of the Chess Olympiad Budapest 2024.
The open section of the competition gathers an all-time-high 194 teams, an unprecedented number in these competitions.
India, winner of the tournament two years ago and favorite for the first place, will play against Morocco in the opener.
In the women’s event, also with a record number of 181 teams, Cuba is expected to beat Sudan.
