Havana, Sept 9 (ACN) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel welcomed the delegation that represented the island at Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, at the Jose Marti International Airport.
The delegation, headed by sprinter Omara Durand—11 times champ at Olympic games—took six gold, three silver and one bronze at Paris 2024, and took the 24th place among all participating countries.
The para-athletes will be officially welcomed at Havana’s “Ciudad Deportiva” sports complex and will tour several local scientific, education and sports institutions.
