Cuba in taekwondo, shooting sport and archery today in Paris 2024

HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 29 (ACN) Cuba will debut today in the 2024 Paralympic Games in taekwondo, shooting sport and archery.

The first to compete for the Cuban delegation, made up of 22 para athletes, 10 coaches and a guide, will be Lilisbet Rodriguez (47 kg) in taekwondo K44, shooters De Angelo Loriga and Alexis Reina in the 10m air pistol, and the archer Ledys Posada.

With plans to win around 10 medals, including four or five gold ones, and finish among the top 25 countries, the Cuban para athletes will compete in athletics, judo, swimming, taekwondo, weightlifting, table tennis, archery, and shooting sports.

Cuba boasts 91 medals (43-20-28) in eight Paralympic Games.
