HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 25 (ACN) Cuba's second volleyball team finished in fifth in the 2024 NORCECA Men's Final Six Tournament, held in Quebec, Canada, after beating the Dominican Republic 3-1.
Team Cuba held the advantage in attack points (68-59) and blocks (13-10), whereas the Dominicans had one more ace than the Cubans (5-4) and one less error (25-26).
The Cubans finished in sixth—and last place—in pool play with one win over Puerto Rico and four losses (to Mexico, Canada, the Dominican Republic, and U.S.A.).
Mexico (2021), Cuba (2022) and the United States (2023) have won the three tournaments held so far, with Canada second in all three cases.
