HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 21 (ACN) In a post on X, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel wished success to the athletes that will represent the island at the 2024 Paralympic Games.
“Our para athletes are already bound for France, where they will finish their training. Our best wishes to you, champions of life. May the Cuban flag shine in the hands of Omara and Robiel,” he wrote in his message.
Cuba’s standard-bearer Omara Durán boasts eight Olympic titles and hopes to win medals in the T12 100m, 200m and 400m events of the athletics competition.
The Paralympic Games Paris 2024, in which Cuba intends to keep achieving success, will start on August 28.
