HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 21 (ACN) Cuba's second volleyball team will be opposite Puerto Rico today in the 3rd NORCECA Men’s Final Six Tournament, under way in the Canadian city of Gatineau, Quebec.
After losing in straight sets Tuesday to Mexico, Team Cuba will go for its first win over the Puerto Ricans in the preliminary phase of the round-robin system.
Next on Cuba’s schedule are Canada (Thursday), the Dominican Republic (Friday) and the United States (Saturday) to close pool play.
Mexico (2021), Cuba (2022) and the United States (2023) have won the three tournaments held so far, with Canada second in all three cases.
