Cuban wrestler Orta will fight the bronze medal in Paris 2024

PARIS, France, Aug 8 (ACN) The Cuban Greco-Roman wrestler Luis Orta (67 kg) will compete today for the third place in Paris 2024.

Orta, who won the gold medal in Tokyo 2020—competing in the 60 kg division—and in the 2023 World Championships in Belgrade, beat the Algerian Ishak Ghaiou 9-0 in the repechage round.

Today he will be opposite the Armenian Slavik Galstyan in the fight for one the bronze medals.

Orta made his debut Wednesday with an 8-0 win over the Japanese Kyotaro Sogabe and advanced to the quarterfinals but then lost 0-9 to the Iranian Saeid Esmaeili for the ticket to the semifinals.
