Boxers Alejandro Claro and Arlen Lopez notched up 5-0 victories over Brazil's Michael da Silva and Türkiye’s Kaan Aykutsun, respectively.
On their end, beach volleyball players Noslen Diaz and Jorge L. Alayo beat the Brazilians Andre Loyola and George Souto, number two in the world ranking, in straight sets, 21-13 and 21-18.
