HAVANA, Cuba, May 29 (ACN) The Cuban women’s team lost 0-3 to the Dominican Republic and finished fourth—and last—in Pool A of the 1st Girls’ U17 Pan American Volleyball Cup, under way in Guatemala City.
After these results, Peru (3-0) leads the pool, followed by the host country (2-1), Mexico (1-2) and Cuba (0-3). Therefore, Team Cuba will play for the fifth to eighth places on Friday.
The U17 Cup is part of the qualification system for the 2025 NORCECA Tournament and the 2026 FIVB World Championship.
