HAVANA, Cuba, May 26 (ACN) Cuban middle-distance runner Rose Mary Almanza got her ticket to the 2024 Olympic Games after marking 1:58.89 min in the 800m event of the international athletics meeting held in Forbach, France.
Almanza, multi-champion in Central American and Caribbean competitions, finished the race in first place, although her most important accomplishment was her qualification for Paris.
Just days ago, in the opener of the Cuba Athletics Cup held in Havana, Almanza proved her level with a time of 1.59.62 min.
