HAVANA, Cuba, May 22 (ACN) Cuba will be opposite Germany today in Pool 2 (Rio de Janeiro) of the Volleyball Nations League, a tournament that will define the last spots for the 2024 Olympic Games.
After beating the host Brazil 3-1 on Monday, Team Cuba will strive to notch up a second victory that brings the island closer to the qualification for Paris.
Following today’s match, Cuba will have games against Japan (Friday) and Iran (Saturday) to close the current stage in Rio de Janeiro and travel to Ottawa, Canada, to deal with the host team, Italy—current world champion—France and the Netherlands.
