HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 31 (ACN) Cuba’s National Rowing Federation (FNR) is making arrangements to start preparing its athletes for the Rowing Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on March 14 to 19.
FNR president and Commissioner Ángel Luis García said that Cuba’s team—which features top figures like Yariulvis Cobas and Carlos Andrei Ajete—will compete in Rio in single sculls and quad.
In Tokyo 2020, the only Cuban rower to qualify was Milena Venegas (1x), who was fifth in the C final and finished 17th in the competition.
