HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 13 (ACN) Cuban pairs Jorge Luis Alayo-Noslen Diaz and Amanda Armenteros-Maykeline Drik will seek today their third win in the U23 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour, under way in the Dominican Republic.
In the closing of pool play today, Alayo and Diaz will try to beat Zendai Richards and Clerique Ward, from St. Kitts and Nevis—so far undefeated—to get the pass to the the quarterfinals, whereas Amanda and Maykeline will strive for the same goal against the Canadians Alisa Gavva and Karolina Urbanovich.
Both Cuban pairs notched up 2-0 victories over the duets from the Dominican Republic and Bermuda, in the case of the men, and over Anguilla and the Dominican Republic in the case of the women.
The U23 tournament gathers 16 men's and 12 women’s pairs in four and three groups, respectively.
