Daniel Milanés wins Cuban para athletes’s first gold medal

HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 21 (ACN) Daniel Milanés won the first gold medal of Cuban para athletics in the 7th Para Pan American Games Santiago 2023.

Milanés (T47 class) clocked a personal best of 49.94 seconds to finish first in the 400m race, ahead of the Americans Tahmar Edward Upshaw (50.67 s) and Rayven John Sample (50.68 s).

The Cuban para athletes are expected to bring much more joy to their country in this continental competition.
