HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 19 (ACN) Cuba’s Yenigladys Suarez (SH1 class) won the gold medal in the 10m air pistol event of the 7th Para Pan American Games Santiago de Chile 2023.
Suarez, who was champion of this competition in Lima 2019, repeated her feat after notching up 225.1 points, enough to leave behind the Costa Rican Paola Arana (222.1) and the Brazilian Debora Campos (201.8).
Hers was Cuba’s second gold medal in this event after the para table tennis player Yunier Fernandez finished first Saturday in the men's singles.
