Havana, Oct 23 (ACN) After increasing its number of medals on Monday-- one gold and one silver--, Cuba advanced to the six position at Santiago de Chile Pan-American Games.
The latest gold medal was won by the eight with helmsman crew at the Laguna Grande San Pedro de la Paz after scoring 5:37.9 minutes.
The silver medal was taken by weightlifter Juan Zaldivar—102 kilos—at the Chimwoke Gym after Colombian Jhonatan Rivas –382 kilos.
In all, Cuba thus far has three gold, two silver and two bronze medals, occupying the six position at the games by countries. Leading the medal board is the United States followed by Mexico and Canada.
