HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 20 (ACN) Cuban freestyle wrestler Milaimys Marín (76 kg) will compete today for one of the bronze medals awarded by the World Wrestling Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia.
Marín, Youth Olympic champion five years ago in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and world champion in the junior and U-23 categories, will thus try to earn one of the five spots that this event grants to each division for the 2024 Summer Olympic.
The outstanding Cuban athlete had notched up three wins before losing 5-2 in the semifinals to the Japanese Yuka Kagami.
