HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 19 (ACN) Mexico posted a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Cuba on the first day of the NORCECA Pan American Cup Final Six, held in Edmonton, Canada.
The Mexicans made the most of an unstable Team Cuba made up mostly of U21 players who were outmatched by the winners in blocking (11-7) and serving (12-5).
Next in line on Cuba’s schedule is Puerto Rico, followed by Canada on Thursday, the Dominican Republic on Friday, and the United States on Saturday.
The two previous editions of this tournament were topped by Mexico in 2021 and Cuba in 2022.
