HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 14 (ACN) Cubans Isabel Rodriguez and Kevin Milian, won gold and silver, respectively, this weekend at the World Triathlon Development Regional Cup in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Rodriguez won among women by timing 01:07:35 hours, according to the results tables of World Triathlon, the governing organization of this sport.
The Cuban completed the 750-meter swim in 10:50 minutes, the change from water to bike in 34 seconds, the 20-kilometer (km) bike ride in 35:03 minutes, the second transition in 34 seconds and the five-kilometer (km) run in 21:01 minutes.
Milian was runner-up with 01:00:18 hours, only surpassed by Panama's Petter Vega (01:00:10). The bronze went to Colombia's Jacobo Rios (01:00:20).
On June 24, Rodriguez finished fifth in the Regional World Development Cup in Bahia de Amatique (Guatemala) and on July 7, Milian won bronze in the mixed relay at the Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador.
