HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 7 (ACN) Cubans Isabel Rodriguez and Kevin Milian will compete on August 12 in the World Triathlon Regional Development Cup in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The first stage will be a 750-meter swim in a diamond-shaped circle, with 24 to 28 degrees Celsius water temperature and winds of 13 to 15 kilometers (km) per hour.
This will be followed by the cycling, with four five-kilometer (5 km) rides to complete 20 km.
Triathletes who are one lap behind the leaders will be eliminated from the competition, which will end with a five-kilometer run.
While, women's race will have five contenders and men's 17, according to the starting lists of World Triathlon, the ruling organization of this sport.
Rodriguez finished fifth on June 24 at the Regional World Development Cup in Bahia de Amatique (Guatemala) and Milian won bronze on July 7 in the mixed relay at the Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador.
